OTC DerivativesOur OTC energy teams have the world covered, with teams located in New York, Houston, Calgary, London, Tokyo and Singapore. Newedge facilitates access to a global slate of bilaterally traded energy products through exchange-cleared, direct traded or voice-brokered OTC derivatives. Newedge is a strong participant in the global energy market. In addition to traditional exchange traded futures, our OTC team facilitates customer trades in financially settled swaps and options on a wide array of energy products.
Through our network of memberships, customers can choose to clear derivatives through Clearnet on the ICE or Clearport on the NYMEX, both of which are OTC clearing mechanisms. Customers can also choose to trade derivatives directly with Newedge, where we stand as the customer's counterparty on the swap. A third customer option is voice brokering or name give-up, where the Newedge team acts as a virtual 'trading pit' matching buyers and sellers. The matched trades can be cleared or direct.
